MONITORING VISITS:
Future Education's qualified teachers observe all of its teaching staff (including teaching / classroom / learning assistants)and nursery nurses in the classroom on a random basis every academic year. We give the member of staff concerned a written report on the observation. Any matters arising are followed up by mentoring. And, of course, we are happy to discuss the observation, if required, with the host school or nursery. There is absolutely no charge for the service, which we consider to be fundamental to enlightened people management.
This is not just restricted to Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and to the occasional Overseas Qualified Teachers (OQTs) whom we might employ. All teachers and nursery nurses are seen on the basis that Future Education should be seeing its staff and that even seasoned professionals can and will benefit from impartial observation and advice.
This is certainly not common practice in the teacher supply industry. In this sense Future Education provides a more responsible service than many of its bigger competitors.
