A Pupil Referral Unit based in Sutton are looking for a full time learning support assistant to start in September 2021. You will be supporting Primary and/or Secondary aged students with SEMH, ASD and challenging behaviours.
You will be working in a lively, fun environment for Primary and Secondary aged children, who are unable to attend mainstream Schools for a variety of reasons. The facilities at the school are good and there is a large equipped sports hall, as well as a smaller gym for the learners to use. The school has a range of specialist classrooms including craft design, food technology and music to name just a few.
The School were judged as a 'Good' School with outstanding features in their most recent Ofsted report. The students particularly progressed in English and Maths and the proportion of students achieving GCSE passes is now increasing. The staff team are committed to providing a happy, safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment in order to provide the best possible education to their students.
The School offer lots of additional training such as restraint and behaviour management training so no extra training or qualifications will be required!
