We are working with a fantastic College that have a great opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to support the team in the maintenance and repair of the College.
This role will require you to have a general awareness and ability to understand and apply H&S regulations. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of general maintenance processes and a willingness to undergo training to improve your skills.
Salary up to £25,000 per year, depending on experience.
Our client are seeking a Maintenance Assistant whose duties will include:
- Assisting with general maintenance
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building compliance to meet relevant regulations and documentation
- To undertake general items of maintenance including plumbing, carpentry and decorating
- To undertake minor building works including electrical and refurbishment
- Report promptly any defects and/or damage to buildings, fixtures and fittings.
- Be part of the fire team as a Fire Marshall
- To assist the Estates Manager with organising and supervising contractors on site
- Carry out Helpdesk requests
Full driving licence and a willingness to drive College vehicles is essential
