Seeking a **Permanent** LSA role in an ASD Unit?

This could be the right role for you IF you've said YES to the above! Currently recruiting a LSA who ideally has ASD experience with children and young people in an ASD Unit in the Greenwich borough.

The Role:

  • Full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in an ASD Unit
  • Permanent Role, ASAP Start
  • Working with ASD children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Building a strong rapport with children and young people
  • Able to maintain a calm demeanour, consistent, dedicated and focused on safeguarding children and young people.
  • Engaging children well and ensuring assisting with their work

The Successful LSA:

  • Minimum of 6 Months working as either as a Learning Mentor/ Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Behaviour Mentor/ HLTA /SEN Support Worker/ Teaching Assistant and /or Youth Worker
  • Experience working in either an ASD Unit / DSP Unit/ PRU/ Secondary School/ Alternative Provision/ SEN School / Residential Home or Youth Centre
  • Great SEN experience with children; ie ASD/ ASC/ ADHD/ ADD/ PDA/ODD etc
  • Worked with children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
  • Able to build a strong rapport with children.
  • Must be Resilient, Dedicated, Compassionate, Great sense of humour, Empathetic, Able to successfully de-escalate behaviour effectively
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service OR able to pay for one
  • Must live in or easy commutable distance to the Greenwich borough
