Alternative Provision located in the borough of Greenwich is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to start a long-term role after the half-term break!
Students who attend the provision have been diagnosed with SEMH & Behavioural Challenges and are aged between 11 - 18 years old. The successful Behaviour Mentor / Learning Support Assistant (LSA )/ Learning Mentor/ Youth Worker SEN TA / HLTA/ Child Support Worker/ Child Residential Worker will be able to show on their CV that they have worked with children who have either behaviour challenges and/ or diagnosed with ODD/ ADD/ADHD/ ADD/ SEMH /CAMHS / Complex Needs etc. You will be able to successfully build a strong rapport with young people, able to de-escalate behaviour if required and working with children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You must be empathetic, consistent, resilient, dedicated, pro-active & dedicated to safeguarding children. Lastly you have worked with children diagnosed with SEN in some capacity at either an Alternative Provision/ PRU/ Child Residential Home/ SEN School /Youth Centre or Mainstream School.
