New opportunity has arisen at an Alternative Provision in Hillingdon is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor or LSA who is available to start worked straight immediately!
Creative and Innovative Provision in Hillingdon which caters to children between the ages of 9 - 18 years who have been diagnosed with behavioural SEN (ie SEMH / ADHD / ASD etc). This is a full-time post to start immediately until at least the end of term - possibly longer! This will include 1:1 and small group support to children, building a strong rapport with them, dealing with behavioural difficulties and also assisting them with their classes if need be in a supporting capacity. It is important that you have recent experience as either a Behaviour Mentor / Youth Worker / SEN TA / Teaching Assistant / HLTA or Child Residential Worker etc. Class sizes are small and typically up to 7 children per class with a number of Behaviour Mentors/ SEN TAs in class including the SEN Teacher. Additionally you will have had experience working with children in either a Pupil Referral Unit / Alternative Provision / Youth Centre / Mainstream School / SEN School and / or Child Residential Home.
