SEN School (SEMH & Complex Needs) located in Greenwich is recruiting for either a Behaviour Mentor or Youth Worker to start ASAP.
This SEN School supports students who have behavioural difficulties (ie SEMH/ ADHD/ CAMHS /ASD/ Behaviour / Complex Needs etc). This SEN School has a successful Senior Leadership Team who have exemplary leadership and managerial qualities. SEN Teachers & Behaviour Support staff are excellent practitioners, supportive and consistent in supporting their students to be the best versions of themselves. Class sizes are small and typically between 5 - 7 maximum children per class.
Due to departmental changes, this new position has been made available for either a Youth Worker/ Learning Mentor/Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/SEN TA/ Behaviour TA / Mentor /HLTA (minimum of 6 months) who has experience working within either an SEN School/ Provision/ Youth Centre / PRU/ or mainstream School with behaviour difficulties. You will be working with a child on a 1:1 basis and also will be opportunities to work with SEN children in small groups. You will be able to successfully de-escalate behaviour, build a strong rapport with children and be a positive role model. Additionally you will be confident to support them in their school work, engaging and resilient.
