Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) situated in the Bexley is recruiting a BEGINNER Assistant Site Manager/ Handyman/ Assistant Caretaker. You will be available to start working straight away in this exciting new position!
Situated on 3 sites, you must be able to access the 3 Bexley sites. This is a popular & smaller sized Pupil Referral Unit that push their students to be the best they can be and to work to their full capabilities. Great opportunity for someone who would like to progress in their career as an Assistant Site Manager within a PRU/ school environment. Preferably you will have some experience working in a school, maybe as a handyman OR maybe you have graduated from a college course in plumbing/ construction / electricals OR in a company 'fixing things'. In this role as it is a beginner position in a school you will have training from the Site Manager / Premises Manager.
The successful BEGINNER Assistant Site Manager:
- YOU - Either a beginner handyman / Assistant Site Manager OR just graduated from a college course (ie plumbing/ construction / electricals etc) and wanting to start out in your new career!
- Able to take instruction well in helping to maintain the school grounds and maintenance
- You will have or willing to pay for an enhanced DBS
- Assisting in locking & unlocking the premises
- Assisting with management of the fire alarm (testing etc)
- Assisting in reviewing, monitoring the maintenance and inspection of the sites
- Assisting in minor repairs, cleaning and cleanliness of the hydrotherapy pool
- Assisting in ensuring the Health & Safety of the school site & identifying problems as an Assistant Site Manager
- Ensuring equal opportunities and diversity for all (pupils and staff)
- Assisting in the security of the school premises (ie locks in perfect order, fences, school gates etc)
- MUST live close proximity to the borough of Bexley
