Popular post-16 College on the borders of Lewisham is recruiting an LSA (Learning Support Assistant) who is available to work 5 days a week and can start straight away or April 2022!

This is a successful mainstream college with a larger than average SEN. They would like to welcome a pro-active, resilient, dedicated, empathetic LSA OR Learning Mentor/ SEN TA / Youth Worker/ HLTA/Child Support Worker/ Behaviour Mentor/ Mentor/ / Child Residential Worker etc. The student(s) you will be supporting attend college 5 days a week so it is imperative that you are available full time as part time hours are not offered. This post would be available for an LSA OR Learning Mentor/ SEN TA / Youth Worker/ HLTA/Child Support Worker/ Behaviour Mentor/ Mentor who will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. In the provision, there are varied needs; ie SEMH/ Behaviour Difficulties/ ODD/ ASD/ ADHD/ MLD/Wheel chair users / Down Syndrome/Complex Needs.

**The Criteria for the successful Learning Support (LSA)**

• Most recent job title; LSA/ SEN TA/ Youth Worker/ HLTA/Child Support Worker/ Behaviour Mentor/ Mentor/ Learning Mentor / Child Residential Worker
• Your SEN Experience; SEMH/ ADD/ODD/ ASD/ ADHD/ Down Syndrome/ Wheelchair users / Complex Needs.
• Your experience working with children/ young people must be in either a; College /Youth Centre/PRU/ Alternative Provision/ SEN School or Mainstream School
• Small Groups & 1:1 support experience with children and/or Young people
• You are Resilient, Pro-Active, Great Sense of Humour, Empathetic, Calm, Patient and can build a Strong Rapport with children
• Can de-escalate behaviour (if required)
• You can commute easily to the borough of Lewisham
