Thriving and popular College in Greenwich is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is available to start in August 2022.

The students who attend this college have a specialist SEND provision with children and young people diagnosed with varied needs; Dyslexia/ Dyspraxia/ ASD/ SEMH/ ADHD/ MLD/ Down Syndrome / Wheel Chair Users etc.

This is a long term and full time LSA (Learning Support Assistant) vacancy. This role is for a ambitious, intelligent, empathetic, pro-active LSA/ SEN TA/ Mentor / Behaviour Mentor / Youth Worker/ Teaching Assistant / HLTA who has experience working in a support role at either a PRU / Alternative Provision / Youth Centre/ College / SEN School or Mainstream School. You will be working on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. This role will need someone who is adaptable and has worked with children and young people in some capacity at either Primary / Secondary or College ages. You will be able to help the young person(s) with their work as well as being their main 1:1 support,

The Successful LSA/ Support Person…

  • You most recent position must be as either; LSA (Learning Support Assistant) / SEN TA (SEN Teaching Assistant) / Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor/Mentor/ Teaching Assistant / HLTA / Youth Worker
  • Great SEN experience; ie ASD/ ODD/ ADD/ Dyslexia / Dyspraxia/ SEMH/ CAMHS/ASD/ ADHD/ MLD/ Down Syndrome/ Wheel Chair etc
  • 1:1 and small groups experience in a support post
  • Able to build a strong rapport with children and young people
  • You have worked with students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
  • Available August 2022 for a Full Time post
  • Must live in easy commutable distance to the borough of Greenwich
