SEN School situated in Tower Hamlets is recruiting a MPS or UPS Maths Teacher /Teacher of Maths / SEN Teacher who is available to start a fixed term contract in September 2022.

Children who attend are between the ages of 11 - 18 years old.
Exciting opportunity has arisen for a long-term and full time Maths Teacher / Teacher of Maths (MPS or UPS) who is available to start in September 2022. The successful Maths Teacher / SEN Teacher will be either an ECT or experienced Maths Teacher or SEN Teacher. To be considered for this exciting vacancy, it is imperative that you have a mainstream teaching qualification (ie PGCE/ Teach First / GTP /Cert Ed/ /SCITT/ QTS/ QTLS). You with have a strong STEM background and maths teaching experience at both KS3 & KS4 levels. Additionally, you can teach fun, engaging and creative maths lessons on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. Children who attend have different needs, most of which have medical needs. Children are engaging and respond well to teachers who can offer fun, engaging and creative maths lessons. Class sizes are very small, typically 4 - 5 children per class which gives teachers the opportunity to work with children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
- YOU MUST have a UK recognised teaching qualification (ie PGCE / Teach First / GTP/ Cert Ed/ITT/ QTS/ QTLS)
- YOU have taught Maths at both KS3 & KS4 levels
- YOU have some SEN experience - (ie Medical Needs/ SEMH/ Physically / ASD/ADHD/ or Terminal
- ECTs and Experienced Maths Teachers are welcome to apply!
- YOU are an engaging, creative and fun teacher
- Able to teach on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
- YOU have strong STEM background and strong subject knowledge
- MUST be able to teach a minim of a "Good" lesson
- YOU have worked in either a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)/ SEN School / Alternative Provision or Mainstream School
