Post -16 College in the Greenwich borough is recruiting a Wellbeing Pastoral Tutor / PSHE Tutor. This full time contract is to start straight in September 2022.

This new exciting full-time contract has arisen for a Pastoral Tutor or Pastoral Support Advisor/ Pastoral Support Worker. It is vital that the new pastoral Wellbeing Tutor/ PSHE Tutor has experience within a similar role and especially attending to the well-being of pupils. You will be supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in well-being group sessions, equipping and assisting them to have clear academic and personal aspirations and goals. You have worked in a similar Pastoral Tutor / PSHE Tutor / Pastoral Support Advisor/ Pastoral Support Worker role in either a Post-16 College/ Sixth Form College / Secondary School or University. You are excellent at building a strong rapport with young people with the determination to wanting students to succeed in their studies. Additionally, you will be responsible for just under 190 students, tracking and monitoring their attendance, punctuality and ensuring children are adhering to the behavioural and learning policy.
The successful Pastoral Tutor in well-being/Tutor / Pastoral Support Advisor/ Pastoral Support Worker must pass the following;
- Must be a well-qualified Pastoral Tutor /PSHE Tutor / Pastoral Support Advisor/ Pastoral Support Worker
- Experience in promoting well-being of children in an education setting; ie Post-16 College/ Sixth Form College/ Secondary School or University
- Experience monitoring attendance, punctuality and implementing the behavioural policy
- Experience in successfully teaching PSHE / Employability to a class
- Experience in liaising with a Pastoral Head
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
- In date DBS with the update service or able to pay for one ASAP
- Must live in commutable distance to the Greenwich borough
