Fast-Paced SEN School located in Biggin Hill, Bromley is currently recruiting for a fixed term School Receptionist & Admin Assistant to start in September 2022.

Dedicated & Inspiring Head of School who has impeccable vision & leadership skills. SLT have high expectations of the school to ensure all the needs of the students are fully met. Students who attend have a diverse range of SEN, which range from motor, learning difficulties, Physical Disabilites, Aspergers, wheelchair users, children fed through straws, including more able children who are able to access their learning. SEN Teachers and support staff employed by this school are supportive and welcoming.

Due to expansion this opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist & Admin Assistant for a September 2022 start. This is a 39 weeks term time only position. The successful Receptionist & Admin Assistant must be computer literate with excellent Communication Skills (oral and written), excellent organisational skills with a minimum of 12 months in a similar fast-paced school post. You must have worked in a similar role in either a PRU / Alternative Provision / SEN School/ Mainstream School /College or Education Setting to be short listed!

The successful School Receptionist & Admin Assistant

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a SEN School/ PRU/ Alternative Provision/ Mainstream Primary or Secondary School / Sixth Form or FE College OR Education setting in a Receptionist /Admin
  • Experience of a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent Communicative Skills (both verbally & written)
  • Must have a minimum of a "C" in both English & Maths (GCSEs)
  • Minimum of "intermediate" on Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Filing, photocopying, faxing, emailing, reports and also completing routine forms
  • Must be aware of and comply with procedures & policies that relate to health, child protection, confidentiality, data protection, safety & security, reporting all safeguarding concerns to appropriate person
  • Maintaining the manual and also computerised records & management information systems
  • Distributing and sorting the mail
  • Excellent organisational skills in a busy school / education setting
  • Must be in commutable distance to Biggin Hill, Bromley
  • In-Date Enhanced DBS on the update service OR able to pay for one immediately
