Successful SEN School (SEMH & ASD) located in Hillingdon, is recruiting for a long-term Science Teacher / Teacher of Science contract to start immediately or after the April 2022 half term.
Thriving and popular SEN School that caters to children and young people who have been diagnosed with either SEMH / ASD / Complex Needs and/or Behaviour difficulties. Children know what is expected of them and are encouraged to be the best versions of themselves. This is a fantastic place to work with SEN Teachers who have been graded a minimum of "Good" in observations, outstanding SEN TAs and Behaviour Mentors and experienced Senior Leadership. Class sizes are small, typically between 5 - 7 per class and are ages between 7 - 18 years old.
Due to departmental changes, this long term post has been made available for a well-qualified Teacher of Science / Science Teacher (ie PGCE/ Cert Ed/ SCITT/ Teach First/ GTP/ ITT/ QTS or QTLS), who has worked in either a Alternative Provision /mainstream secondary school or SEN School or PRU. You must have a strong STEM background and have experience teaching the UK Science curriculum at KS3 up to GCSE. This Science Teacher/ Teacher of Science role would suit either an NQT of experienced Teacher. This particular role would be working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, there maybe occasions where you will support the child at either the library or at their home and this is mainly because of ill health so some of them are unable to access their education within school. Your cost of fuel will be covered also. This is an ongoing 5 day a week position!
