Up and coming SEN School (SEMH/ Behaviour/ ASD/ ADHD) in the Greenwich borough is recruiting a part time contract SENCO to cover two small sites. This exciting opportunity is to commence ASAP.

Children who attend this SEN School have either; SEMH and a part of CAMHS/ ASD/ Anxiety/ ADHD/ Behaviour Difficulties at secondary age level. Welcoming and Supportive SEN Teachers, Behaviour Mentors and Senior Leadership. All new staff must have a passion for working in an SEN educational environment, empathetic, resilient and able to build a strong rapport with children.

This opportunity is for a well-qualified and experienced part time SENCO. This role will at later date become full-time. It is preferred that you have a SENCO qualification, however IF you do not have the SENCO qualification, you must have considerable experience working as a SENCO or Inclusion Manager/ SEN Coordinator. You must have worked in either an SEN School/ Mainstream School/ Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)/ Alternative Provision etc. This is a great opportunity to put your "stamp" in the provision and to make a difference. This is a small school with a steady flow of child referrals from neighbouring schools that need to assessed for EHCPs.

  • A well-qualified SENCO with a qualification would be preferable
  • Experienced SENCO
  • Your most recent job title; SENCO / SENDCO/ AHT with SEN/ Senior Leadership Team (SLT)/ SEN Coordinator/ Inclusion Manager
  • You have experience working as a SENCO in either an; Alternative Provision/ PRU/ SEN School / Mainstream School
  • Experience monitoring the impact of teaching and learning activities and the progress made by children with SEN
  • Accessing children for EHCPs
  • Providing a strategic vision for the provision and able to raise standards of SEN student inclusion, attainment & achievement by the monitoring & support of student progress.
  • In date Enhanced DBS with the update service OR willing to pay for one ASAP
  • Easy commutable distance to the Greenwich borough.
