Successful PRU (EBD & SEMH) in Merton, in the heart of the community, is recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support in the Design Technology (Product Design) Department to start in September 2021. Children who attend have been diagnosed with EBD/ SEMH/ Behaviour Challenges and are on Education Health Care Plans(EHCPs). Typical class sizes are small in comparison to mainstream schools and between 5 - 8 children per class.
Due to expansion, they are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant on a temp to perm basis to work in the Design Technology department at this PRU. The successful SEN TA / Behaviour Mentor / Cover Supervisor/ Youth Worker/ LSA/ Teaching Assistant/ Tutor/ STEM Graduate (Technology) must have supported children in some capacity in the DT department, particularly within Product Design. Working with SEN pupils at KS3 & KS4 on a 1:1 basis & small groups. You have great SEN experience; ie CAMHS/ ODD/ SEMH/ EBD/ ASD/ PDA/ ADHD/ Behaviour Difficulties. You will have a great design, artistic and product design background to be considered.
