Innovative and purpose-built Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harlow, Essex is currently recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH). Full time and immediate start position.
Children who attend this Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) have been diagnosed with SEMH, ASD and Complex Needs. Successful Behavioural Support staff and SEN Teachers who are supportive, welcoming and dedicated colleagues. Pupils respond well to staff who are genuine, resilient, empathetic, able to build a strong rapport and consistent. Additionally the age range of these children are between 8 - 18 years of age, all of which are on EHCPs.
Due to an increased student role this PRU would like to recruit a full time SEN TA/ Youth Worker/ Teaching Assistant / HLTA/ LSA/ Behaviour Mentor or Learning Mentor who has great SEN experience (ie CAMHS/ SEMH/ ASD/ ADHD/ADD/ODD/ MLD/ Complex Needs/Challenging Behaviour). You would be working with a young person(s) on either a 1:1 basis or within small groups. You will have experience with children at either Primary, secondary or college levels and helping them with their class work. It is imperative that you are a resilient SEN TA /Youth Worker / Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant/ LSA and you must have worked in either a Youth Centre/ SEN School / PRU/ Alternative Provision/ Mainstream School.
