We are currently working in partnership with an outstanding SEN school based in (Caterham/Surrey) that are looking for a full-time, permanent Teacher to start in January 2022.

During your time at this SEN school, your extensive skills will help a team of compassionate staff members enhance the pupil's quality of learning through effective delivery of the curriculum.

In this full-time position, you will be focusing on working within various departments, providing specialist support to children with PMLD, ASD and SLD (Speech and language difficulties). You will empower KS3-KS4 pupils to be active participants in helping to create a stimulating atmosphere, which they value and enjoy. On an average day, your outstanding teaching talents will provide carefully differentiated learning experiences, both social and academic, appropriate to age, ability and needs. Your compassionate approach will forge strong links with other staff, local schools and the community to broaden the pupil's prospects. Furthermore, your expert knowledge of working with SEN children will contribute to the success of the school development plan, as you will be responsible for the following and more:

  • Organising, planning and evaluating the efficacy of student resources
  • Lead and support teaching assistants, students and volunteers
  • Write Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Be able to commute to Caterham
  • Relevant SEN experience with various ages
  • Knowledge and experience of working with children with ASD, PMLD and SLD
  • Comfortable in 1-1 sessions and small groups
