Future Education are currently working with an amazing SEN Primary School that are looking for SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their Outstanding SEN school based in Sutton.
The role will be working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis who has ASD.
The school is specialised for children aged 5 - 11 years old whose primary needs is Speech, Language and Communication. Some children may also have additional learning or sensory integration needs. A large percentage of pupils also have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
This is a 5 day a week role and the hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Pay £75 to £80 per day.
The ideal Person for this position will have:
- Ideally worked with children in a safe guarded setting
- Flexibility - Willing to work across different age groups and classes
- The ability to create and maintain relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to remain calm
- Reliable
- Good understanding of Special Education Needs and Autism
- Experience managing challenging behaviour
- Clear DBS
Your Role will be to:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Encouraging positive social interaction with peers.
- Offering extra support where necessary.
- Ensuring pupils have a safe learning environment.
- Implementing a variety of strategies to cater for different learning abilities.
- Being creative Supporting activities.
- Supporting the Teacher/s
