Here at Future Education, we are currently working with fantastic, very modern primary school in the Sydenham Area who is looking to secure a Premises Manager to start on Thursday 28th October. The role will be on an initial long term role however there is the opportunity for this to go permanent for the right person.

The school is dedicated to providing a stimulating exciting environment where everyone fees valued and safe. This primary school was recently inspected by Ofsted and received a grading of "Good." With great transport links nearby and parking facilities on site for all staff.


Job role:

The Premises Manager is responsible to the head teacher and School Business Manager for the upkeep of the school premises, to provide a safe, secure, clean and warm environment for all site users and visitors.

  • Taking responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of premises to include buildings, fixtures, fittings and furniture reporting any defects and potential hazards to the School Business Manager or Headteacher.
  • Taking responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of premises to include buildings, fixtures, fittings and furniture reporting any defects and potential hazards to the School Business Manager or Headteacher.
  • Carry out minor repairs to best of abilities and report defects to School Business Manager or Headteacher - order repairs and work after agreement.
  • To conduct security audits and risk assessments, to seek estimates on proposed security related works and employ appropriate contractors to undertake such works.
  • Taking responsibility for monitoring contractors on site including cleaning and ground maintenance; ensuring safety procedures are adhered to and work completed satisfactorily.

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience working within a school setting.
  • DBS on the Update service
  • Experience working within a similar role
  • Able to start on October 28th
