Innovative and creative Lambeth Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) where the Principle ‘thinks outside the box’ and has put some great systems in place.  Dedicated and supportive Senior Leadership Team and colleagues.  Support staff & teachers are Teachers have been graded Good to Outstanding and all new staff must be able to mirror this high standard.  Pupils know what is to be expected of them and react positively to fun, engaging and interactive lessons.  Staff are able to build a strong rapport with the children and young people to ensure they get the best out of the students.

New ongoing long term position has arisen for a Learning Mentor/ Support Worker  who may have also worked as a  LSA/ SEN Teaching Assistant / HLTA / TA for an ongoing long-term position.  You would be working with students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.  You will be focused on the safeguarding of students and supporting them academically so they can be the best versions of themselves.  The successful Learning Mentor / Support Worker/ HLTA/ SEN Teaching Assistant/ TA/ LSA / youth worker must have worked in a similar position. 

  • You must have worked as either a Learning Mentor / Support Worker / HLTA/ Youth Worker/ LSA / Teaching Assistant / SEN TA
  • Focused on the safeguarding of children and young people
  • Must have worked in either an SEN School/ Pupil Referral Unit / Alternative Provision / Mainstream School or a Youth Centre
  • You have worked with SEN pupils (ie SEMH / ASD/ ADHD / Behaviour)
  • You will have a minimum of 6 months in a support role with children
  • You have worked with children of secondary and college ages
  • You are excellent at building a strong rapport with children and young people
  • In date DBS with the update service
