ASD Provision in the borough of Greenwich is recruiting for a temp to perm Science Teacher /Teacher of Science (SEN).  This is a full-time vacancy due to start in April 2021. 

Welcoming and approachable staff within this ASD provision with a strong Senior Leadership Team.   There is a mixture of high & low functioning children on the Autistic spectrum at KS3 – 5 levels. All children who attend the provision have been assessed and have an EHCP. 

New vacancy has arisen for a well-qualified MPS or UPS Teacher of Science / Science Teacher (MPS or UPS) who can teach a minimum of KS3 & KS4 levels (KS5 is beneficial). This is a full-time & long-term position which, for the right person could become permanent after this long term post. The successful Science Teacher / Teacher of Science will be either an NQT or experienced practitioner who has a strong STEM background with a teaching certificate (ie PGCE/ Cert Ed/ SCITT/ Teach First/ GTP/QTS). You will have good SEN experience working with ASD pupils in either an SEN School/ ASD Provision/ PRU or mainstream Secondary school. 

  • Teaching Qualification (ie PGCE/ GTP/ SCITT / Teach First / Cert Ed / QTS)
  • Experience teaching high and low functioning Autistic (ASD) children
  • Must have a Strong STEM background
  • NQT or Experienced Science Teacher / Teacher of Science
  • Worked in either an SEN School/ ASD Provision/ PRU or mainstream Secondary school.
  • Experience teaching at KS3 & KS4 levels
  • Can teach a minimum of a ‘Good’ lesson
  • You are able to teach creative, engaging, innovative and fun lessons
  • Dedicated, resilient and empathetic Science Teacher
  • Must be available to start in April 2021
