Alternative Provision that is located in the borough of Greenwich is recruiting for a MPS or UPS well qualified creative Teacher of Art / Art Teacher (PGCE/ QTS/ GTP/ Teach First etc).  Depending on the experience of Art Teacher  / Teacher of Art the role could be either a temp to perm OR Permanent post to  start in the new term 2019

 

Medium sized Alternative Provision which caters for children & young people with social & emotional behaviour difficulties.  Very strong leadership with exceptional teaching practitioners and support staff.  At this Alternative Provision, teaching staff are graded either Good to Outstanding and are consistent, resilient & hard-working.  Imperative that all new teachers are able to successfully demonstrate a minimum of a Good lesson. They offer an excellent CPD programme & training.   Staff are approachable, supportive, compassionate, calm and easy-going.   Pupils at this Greenwich Alternative Provision respond well to creative, fun, engaging lessons. 

 

Due to increased student role, this new and exciting position has arisen.   This SEN Art Teacher / Teacher of Art would suit either a MPS or UPS (+SEN points).     Your pupils will be lower level and there would be challenging behaviour difficulties so would suit someone who is able to support pupils who are lower level.   The successful Art Teacher / Teacher of Art will be in either a SEN School OR mainstream school with KS3 & KS4 levels (KS5 desirable).  You will have worked with SEN students who have challenging behaviour, especially SEMH/ ADHD or ASD etc.  The successful practitioner must be able to effectively plan and deliver fun, engaging & creative lessons!

  • UK recognised SEN / mainstream Teaching Qualification (ie PGCE/ Teach First/ QTS/ SCITT / GTP etc)
  • MPS or UPS Art Teacher / Teacher of Art
  • Mainstream or SEN school Art Teacher / Teacher of Art experience
  • Sound & Excellent knowledge of your subject
  • Can demonstrate SEN teaching experience with pupils with challenging behaviour ( ie ADHD/ ASD/  SEMH,  etc)
  • Minimum of a “Good” lesson
  • Can successfully demonstrate teach a fun and engaging lesson
