Are you looking for a new position as a Teaching Assistant working with children with Special Educational Needs? If so, this fantastic new role could be for you!

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting Primary or Secondary aged Special Educational Needs students with Autism. These hours can be flexible ranging from day to day cover or part time/ full time positions!

This is a wonderful Special Educational Needs School that’s service for students with Autism takes the lead across Lewisham, for the fantastic support and facilities that they provide.

The school is mixed aged from Early Years to Post 16, being based across 2 sites. The school has fantastic equipment and facilities that has been carefully planned so it is suitable for all students.

In the schools latest Ofsted report in July 2015, the school received an overall 'good’ grade and provides a good education for its pupils.

 

You will need:

 

  • Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application
  • Experience is desirable but not essential
  • A pro-active and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for SEN
  • Training or knowledge of Makaton/ PECs or Team Teach desirable
