This SEN School is in the heart of the community. Pupils who attend are between the ages of 11 – 19. They cater to students with a range of SEN needs such as ASD/MLD/SLD/ PMLD and challenging behaviour. 70% of their students have ASD and there is a small unit within the school from 16 – 19 years old of 15 students. The Headteacher is an inspiring practitioner who has excellent vision for this Haringey SEN School. As a true visionary, he comes with years’ experience working within an SEN setting. Exciting opportunity has arisen for a temp contact to perm (for the right candidate) Deputy Head to commence work in January 2020 (possibly earlier). In the first instance this role would be to cover a Maternity Cover and then in September 2020 there is a permanent appointment. The Headteacher is ideally looking for a Deputy Head / Deputy Headteacher / Vice Principle has experience preferably in an SEN School, however they would still consider SLT members in a mainstream school. This role would also suit an experienced Assistant Head/ Assistant Headteacher/ Assistant Principal who is ready for a ‘step up to a Deputy Head post. You will have experience with pupils with ASD/MLD/SLD/ PMLD and challenging behaviour at KS3 & KS4 levels (minimum)
