Currently working with a PRU located in Greenwich, who would like to appoint an SEN Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities (MPS or UPS ) to join their successful and well-resourced Humanities Department.
As this is a PRU, you will essentially be teaching a range of Humanities subjects to SEN pupils, primarily with SEMH / EBD/ ASD etc. The role will be teaching Humanities across Key Stages 3 & 4 however if you have taught one of the Humanities Subjects (History/ Geography/ RS/ PSHE and open to teaching the others this role could still be suitable for you! The successful SEN Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities / History Teacher / Teacher of History / Geography Teacher / Teacher of Geography / Religious Studies Teacher / Teacher of Religious Studies (MPS or UPS) MUST have a UK recognised teaching qualification (ie PGCE/ GTP/SCITT/Teach First/ QTS).
This is a larger than average PRU with great facilities and a supportive senior leadership team. Accommodating and supportive support workers and colleagues. Teaching at this PRU is good to outstanding and all teachers must be able to teach a minimum of a good lesson to be considered for this SEN Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities / History Teacher / Teacher of History / Geography Teacher / Teacher of Geography / Religious Studies Teacher / Teacher of Religious Studies (MPS or UPS). It is imperative that you have taught students with challenging behaviour in either a mainstream or SEN School / Alternative Provision.
The successful candidate must be a qualified MPS or UPS Humanities Teacher with great in-depth subject knowledge & passion, resilience & able to build a strong rapport with students difficult and challenging behaviour. This is truly a rewarding post for the right person!
