Future Education is currently working with an SEN School located in Hackney, that is recruiting for an SEN Teacher of Humanities / Humanities Teacher (MPS or UPS) to join their well-run Department. This role is full time and is to start immediately!

As this is a SEN School that caters to SEMH, you will essentially be teaching a range of Humanities subjects to SEN pupils, primarily with SEMH / EBD/ ASD etc.  The role will be teaching Humanities across Key Stages. However if you have taught one of the Humanities Subjects (History/ Geography/ RS/ PSHE and open to teaching the others this role could still be suitable for you!  The successful SEN Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities / History Teacher / Teacher of History / Geography Teacher / Teacher of Geography / Religious Studies Teacher / Teacher of Religious Studies (MPS or UPS) MUST have a UK recognised teaching qualification (ie PGCE/ GTP/SCITT/Teach First/ QTS).

  • Must have a UK recognised qualification(ie ITT/ PGCE/ GTP/SCITT/Teach First/ QTS etc)
  • Must have experience as either an NQT or Experienced Teacher of Humanities
  • Worked in either a SEN School / Mainstream School / PRU/ Alternative provision
  • Worked with SEN Pupils – ASD/ SEMH/ Behaviour Difficulties/ SEBD/ ADHD
  • Experience teaching humanities to KS3 & KS4 pupils
  • You have an enhanced DBS with the update service
  • Can teach a good to outstanding lesson
