Special Educational Needs School located in the borough of Tower Hamlets is currently recruiting for a MPS (+SEN points) SEN Media Studies Teacher.  Full time & permanent September 2019 appointment.

This is a successful Multicultural SEN school that is essentially in the heart of the community. They boast an exceptional team of staff from support staff up to teaching.  Down to earth and approachable SLT with excellent leadership & managerial qualities.  They specialise with children and young people with challenging behaviour.  They teach through the Key Stages from Primary to Secondary.  Students respond very well to calm, empathetic consistent and approachable staff who are strong classroom leaders. Staff at this school for the most part have been at school for a number of years. Teaching at this school is ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ and it is essential that all new teacher follows suit.   This school tend to recruit NQTs and MPS Teachers and able to offer great training!

Due to exciting departmental changes, this great opportunity has arisen, for a permanent SEN Media Studies Teacher / Media Studies Lecturer for a September 2019 start.  You are either an NQT or qualified SEN Media Studies Teacher / Media Studies Lecturer.  The successful SEN Media Studies Teacher / Teacher of Media Studies will have worked with SEN students with challenging behaviour (ie ASD/ SEMH etc) in either a mainstream or SEN school / FE college. You will be able to teach at GCSE/ BTEC and or AS & A2 Media Studies.  You can successfully plan, teach and deliver inspiring, fun, creative and engaging lessons. 

The successful SEN Teacher of Media Studies/ Media Studies Teacher will be able to offer the following;

  • UK Qualified SEN or Mainstream Media Studies Teacher / Lecturer
  • Must have taught Media Studies in either an SEN or Mainstream school or FE College
  • You have worked with challenging behavioural students (ie EBD, ASD, SEMH etc)
  • Taught Media Studies at GCSE and/or A Levels
  • MPS Teacher
  • Strong classroom leader, who is engaging and able to build a strong rapport with pupils
  • You are a good to outstanding Media Studies Teacher / Media Studies Lecturer
