Alternative Provision in the borough of Greenwich is recruiting for a long-term, full time SEN Teacher of Science/ SEN Science Teacher. This role is to commence in January 2020.

Medium sized Alternative Provision that has been rated ‘Good’ via their ofsted report.  This Alternative Provision is essentially within the ‘heart of the community’ that has formed some strong external   partnerships.  Senior Leadership are very supportive, approachable and focused.  Staff at this Alternative Provision are welcoming and are very down to earth.   Students have been diagnosed with a range of SEN such as EBD/ SEMH / ASD with some pupils with very challenging behaviour. 

New vacancy has arisen for a long term SEN Science Teacher /Teacher of Science(MPS or UPS). The role is to, commence in January 2020 and they would be open to recruiting either an NQT or experienced SEN Science Teacher / Teacher of Science for this contract post.  You would be working in a successful Science department within this SEN provision. They would like to appoint a well-qualified SEN or mainstream MPS or UPS Teacher of Science/ Science Teacher (GTP/ PGCE /Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS - Qualification).  You will have experience with students who have either EBD/ SEMH/ ADHD/ ASD and challenging behaviour etc.  You will be able to offer excellent support in your Science classes and you must be able to teach at KS3 & KS4 levels, especially at GCSE (Science).

  • You are a well -qualified Mainstream or SEN Teacher of Science (ie PGCE/ GTP/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS)
  • You teach Science at KS3 & KS4 levels, especially GCSE
  • Teaching experience must be in either in a PRU/ SEN School /Alternative Provision or a mainstream School
  • Must have taught SEN students with either challenging behaviour/ ASD/ EBD/ADHD/ SEMH
  • Sound knowledge of  the UK  Science curriculum as a SEN Science Teacher
  • NQTs & Experienced Teachers are more than welcome to apply (MPS or UPS)
  • You can teach a minimum of a Good lesson
