College with an SEN Provision located in the borough of Greenwich is currently recruiting for an SEN TA (SEN Teaching Assistant) who specialises with a number of different SEN (ie ASD/ ADHD/ PMLD/ MLD / SLD). Immediate full time long term position.


This college offers a range of broad academic and vocational courses. Within the SEN provision there are around 200 pupils on role.  Students are between the ages of 16 to 19. Teachers and support staff have been graded Good with Outstanding and all new staff must be able to mirror this standard.       They work exceptionally hard with their students who require specialist assistance.  Support staff need to be resilient, dedicated, consistent, and able to build a strong rapport with children and young people. 


New exciting vacancy for an SEN Teaching Assistant  (SEN TA/ LSA/ HLTA / Learning Mentor) to work with students on a 1:2:1 basis and within within small groups.  The successful SEN TA will have been in a similar post (ie SEN TA/ SEN Teaching Assistant/ HLTA/ Learning Mentor/ Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching Assistant /Youth Worker).  Your SEN experience must be in either SEN or mainstream school (ie ie ASD/ ADHD/ PMLD/ MLD / SLD etc).  As an LSA/ Behaviour Mentor/ LSA/ HLTA / Teaching Assistant /Youth Worker you will be calm, empathetic, resilient, firm but fair.   You will have a proven track record building a strong rapport with your pupils.  


  • Must be either a  SEN TA/ LSA/ SEN Teaching Assistant/ HLTA/ Learning Mentor/ / Teaching Assistant /Youth Worker etc
  • Must have worked with children or young people (Primary or School or College Levels)
  • Your SEN experience must be with ASD/ ADHD/ PMLD/ MLD / SLD
  • Minimum of 6 months in SEN School or mainstream in a support position.
  • You can build a strong rapport with  children & young people
  • Experience interacting with pupils in small groups and/ or on a 1:1 basis in a support post
  • You must be calm under pressure & patient
  • In date Enhanced DBS with the update service
