Currently recruiting for a Special School located in the borough of Richmond for a Support Worker / SEN TA who preferably has experience working with SEBD and MLD.  This is a full time and long term position to commence after the half term break!  In the first instance you will be working with the agency and for the right person there is a permanent opportunity after this.

This is a reputable and Popular Special School located in the borough of Richmond.  This school over the years has gone through some exciting changes and is definitely going in a great direction.  They have excellent facilities and a newly revamped school.  The curriculum has been developed in a calm and appropriate environment.  Their pupils are encouraged to achieve independence & academic progress.  Staff at this special school in Richmond are well trained and are excellent practitioners.  Students who attend this school are from Primary to Secondary ages.  With a wide range of SEN difficulties, their needs are well catered to.

 The Job

  • Starts After Easter 2019 Break
  • Initially a long term full time post and for the right person this post could then be made permanent
  • The role is for an SEN Teaching Assistant, however very open to a Support Worker applying to this post (great transferrable skills).
  • Working on a one-2-one basis with two students. One of the students has SEBD/ EBD and the other has MLD. 
  • The timetable for the students will vary so that you are working with the students at alternative times of the day.  
  • The Successful Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to demonstrate that they have worked with SEN/EBD/MLD students
  • Building up a strong rapport with the students and maintaining a positive interaction

 We Are Looking For…

  • Minimum of 6 Months Working as a Support Worker or SEN TA
  • Can demonstrate on your CV that you have worked with either SEN students or Adults in a SEN or Mainstream setting
  • Behaviour Training would be preferable
  • Can successfully build strong rapport with your students as a Support Worker / SEN TA
  • Must be in close proximity to Richmond / Surrounding Boroughs
  • Enhanced DBS with the update service
