Successful Post-16 College located I the London Borough of n Greenwich is currently recruiting a fixed term Monday to Friday Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support in the Construction department. These positions are to start in September 2023!
Students at this college are empowered to be the best versions of themselves, additionally to have clear goals and aspirations. Larger than average SEN Provision with just under 200 Students . The provision accommodates Students with varied SEN; ie Mental Health / Learning Difficulties/ Anxiety/ Challenging Behaviour/ MLD/ ADHD/ Autism/ Down Syndrome & Wheel Chair users etc.

• Your experience will have been as either an LSA or Behaviour Support/ Child Carer/ SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor/ Child Residential Worker/ HLTA/ Youth Worker etc
• Preferably worked in either a Construction or Engineering department in a college / PRU/ SEN Provision/ Alternative Provision
• Can build a strong rapport with children and young people with varied SEN
• 1:1 and small group experience
• Great sense of humour, resilient, engaging and pro-active
• Great at de-escalating behaviour if required (depending on the needs to the learner you are supporting)
• Focused on Safeguarding young people
• SEN students with varied needs, ie ADHD/ Anxiety / SEMH/ CAMHS/ ASD/ Learning Difficulties etc
• You live close to the London Borough of Greenwich
