Are you a passionate and dedicated aspiring SEN Learning Support Assistant who would like to work in an outstanding SEN school in Croydon? This excellent school caters for children aged 4 to 19 with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Speech and Language Communication Needs and Profound and Complex Needs.

For this SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities.
  • Promote independence and social skills development.

The requirements for this role are that you will have:

  • Previous experience in working, caring, or volunteering with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Complex Needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the well-being and development of children with diverse needs.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and tailor support accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
