Working in an innovative and creative PRU, the successful Youth Worker / Behaviour Mentor must have worked in a either a Youth Centre/ Alternative Provision/ PRU/ SEN School or Mainstream School.

** Experience as either a Youth Worker/ SEN Teaching Assistant/ or Behaviour Mentor?

** 1:1 basis or small group experience with children?

** PRU / Alternative Provision/ SEN School Experience in a support post?

PRU in the Greenwich borough is recruiting either a Youth Worker or Behaviour Support who can start a full time fixed term contract post in September 2023.

Working in an innovative and creative PRU, the successful Youth Worker / Behaviour Mentor must have worked in a either a Youth Centre/ Alternative Provision/ PRU/ SEN School or Mainstream School. In this role you will be working with children diagnosed with either SEMH/ ASD or Behaviour Difficulties so you must have experience with these needs in children on a 1:1 basis and small group work. Essentially you will be working with children and engaging them in their education and to be the best versions of themselves. You are excellent at de-escalating behaviour in a calm way as well as building a strong rapport with young.

  • Your SEN experience ie SEMH / CAMHS/ ASD/ ASC/ ADHD / ODD/ ADD/ Complex Needs etc
  • You have worked as either a Youth Worker/ Behaviour Mentor/ SEN TA/ Teaching Assistant Learning Mentor and or LSA
  • You have experience working in either an Alternative Provision / Youth Centre / SEN School / Mainstream School / Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
  • 1:1 & small group setting experience
  • Able to successfully engage and build a strong rapport with young people
  • Must be in easily commutable distance to the Greenwich Borough
