Secondary Cover Supervisor | South East & West London to start from 19.04.22
Future Education are looking for Cover Supervisors and teaching staff to work on a supply and Full Time basis in Secondary Schools across South East and West London.
With teachers still in short supply, we are looking to appoint support staff to our local schools and help fulfil the supply requirements.
Successful Cover Supervisors require:
- Enhanced DBS on update service
- Up to date Safeguarding training
- Passionate about education
- Excellent behaviour management who can quickly build rapport with students and teachers alike.
- Have the ability to be flexible and want to make a big difference in children's education
It is also an excellent option for people who are looking to get back into education work or for those who have been away from the classroom for some time and are looking for a route back in.
The role can include:
- Covering lessons in the absence of the teachers both planned and reactive (lesson plans will be given)
- Group intervention sessions
- Sometimes supporting teachers with lesson planning and marking
- Supporting those with SEN, EAL and behavioural issues
- General support to the teaching faculty
- Cover Supervisor role is well suited to anyone with a some experience in the classroom and someone who genuinely has an interest in furthering their education career
- Practice key skills for teaching such as classroom control, pace of lesson, differentiation and pupil engagement
