We are currently working with an 'Outstanding' SEN School based in Beckenham who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Head of Food Technology to join them in September. This a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to their highly successful Teaching team.
The school caters for students aged 11-19. The students have Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP) with many diverse needs.
There are a number of students on the Autistic spectrum. Other needs include specific learning problems, Emotional/ Behavioural and Speech/Language and communication difficulties
They are seeking a colleague who has a passion for teaching Food Technology and driving their department, alongside having the imagination and skill to help craft their curriculum and form partnership links with industry colleagues. The successful candidate will teach National Curriculum across Key Stage 3 and identify vocational qualifications for Key Stages 4 and 5 (e.g BTEC Level 1/2 Award in Home Cooking Skills and WJEC Level 1 Hospitality and Catering).
The successful candidate will have high expectations of their pupils and demonstrate a commitment to inclusion with the belief that all pupils can achieve and maximise their potential.
Any Head of Food Technology candidate applying must be self-driven, team orientated, reflective and have staff wellbeing in mind.
