Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the Greenwich borough would like to recruit for a Behaviour Mentor. This is a full time and long term post to start in September 2021.
Innovative and creative PRU which provides education to SEN children with diagnosed with SEMH and ASD. Pupils who attend are between the 7 - 17 years old. Incredibly supportive Behaviour Support Staff, Senior Leadership and SEN Teachers. Staff (new and existing) have great experience with pupils who have a diagnosis of either SEMH/ Autism/ASD/ Behaviour Difficulties/ MLD/ ADHD and / or CAMHS.
They would like to recruit an experienced Behaviour Mentor OR Teaching Assistant/ SEN TA/ Youth Mentor/Learning Mentor/ LSA/ Mentor. The successful Behaviour Mentor will be great at de-escalating behaviour with children, able to build a strong rapport on both a 1:1 basis in small groups, have assisted children in their classes, resilient, great sense of humour and passionate about working with SEN pupils. This vacancy requires a Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching Assistant/ SEN TA/ Youth Mentor/ LSA/ Mentor with great experience working with SEN children who have worked in either a PRU/ Alternative Provision/ SEN School / Mainstream School or Youth Centre.
