Pupil Referral Unit located in Greenwich is either recruiting for a MPS or UPS Teacher of Maths / Maths Teacher. This is a September 2021, full time & long term position.

Exemplary and respected Headteacher, who is focused and has great visions for the PRU. The Head has an excellent Sen background, leadership and managerial capabilities. With a strong SLT, Behaviour Support Staff and SEN Teachers, this is an excellent place to work. Children who attend this PRU respond well to fun, empathetic, resilient, engaging and dedicated staff. SEN Teachers who attend have been observed a minimum of a Good. Children who attend are between the ages of 11 - 18 years old.

Exciting opportunity has arisen for a long-term and full time Teacher of Maths / Maths Teacher (MPS or UPS) who is available to start in the new term. The successful Teacher of Maths will be either an NQT or experienced teacher. To be considered for this vacancy, it is imperative that you have a mainstream teaching qualification (ie PGCE/ GTP / Teach First /Cert Ed/ /SCITT/ QTS/ QTLS). You have outstanding maths teaching experience teach at KS3 & KS4 levels. Additionally you can teach fun, engaging and creative maths lessons on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. You also have great SEN experience ( ie CAMHS/ SEMH/ ADD/ ODD/Complex Needs / ASD /SEMH/ /ADHD etc). You must have worked in either a PRU/ Mainstream School/ Alternative Provision or SEN School.

  • YOU are a well-qualified Maths Teacher (ie PGCE/ Cert Ed/ SCITT/ Teach First / QTS/ GTP/ QTLS etc)
  • MUST have taught Maths at both KS3 & KS4 levels
  • YOUR SEN experience - (ie CAMHS/ SEMH/ ADD/ ASD/ADHD/ ODD/ Challenging Behaviour etc)
  • NQTs and Experienced Maths Teachers are welcome to apply!
  • YOU can successfully de-escalate behaviour, able to teach creative, fun and engaging lessons
  • Teaching on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
  • YOU have strong STEM background and strong subject knowledge
  • MUST be able to teach a minim of a "Good" lesson
  • YOU have worked in either a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)/ SEN School / Alternative Provision or Mainstream School
  • MUST live in easily commutable distance to the Greenwich borough
