Alternative Provision on the borders of Greenwich is recruiting for a well-qualified teacher & SENCO. Initially part-time (then will be full time), long term position to start in September 2021.
In September 2021, this Alternative Provision will be split onto two sites. Not all pupils have Education Health care Plans (EHCPs), however those children who don't have one will be assessed. For the most part, pupils have been diagnosed with either Anxiety, ADHD, SEMH, Behaviour. Pupils who attend are at Secondary ages. Very supportive & accommodating SEN Teachers, Behaviour SEN TAs and Senior Leadership. All new staff will be very passionate about working in an SEN environment with young people and want to make a difference!
Exciting opportunity for a well-qualified teacher (PGCE/ SCITT /GTP/ Cert Ed/ Teach First/ QTLS/QTS). A SENCO qualification is preferred, however IF you do not have the SENCO qualification, you must have considerable experience working as a SENCO or SEN Coordinator or Inclusion Manager. This is a long-term position that will go permanent for the right SENCO. Initially it is part time, however will increase to full time after a term. It is imperative that you have worked in either an Alternative Provision/ Mainstream School/ Pupil or SEN School in a similar post. As a SENCO it is expected hat you will lead, support & develop SEN provision on both sites. Additionally, you will be expected to support, lead and develop the practice your pupils with behaviour & learning needs. You will be assessing students and if they require an EHCP amongst other duties. Additionally, you will be expected to ensure you're young people with SEN make good progress in line with expectations of this provision. You will also be an outstanding teacher within your subject.
