Education Support Assistant

Are you a passionate and driven Education Support Assistant with SEN experience? This great college in Bromley is looking for the right individual to fill this role in September.

This College based in Bromley can be the right way for a Education Support Assistant to gain experience, and flourish in their career. Starting in September, this role is permanent, Monday to Friday and the days are from 8.30 to 4.00, paying between £70 and £80 per day.

As an Education Support Assistant your main role will be to:

• Supporting class Co-tutor and lecturer with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
• Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class lecturer for the delivery of skills based learning.
• To use a range of communication strategies including Makaton to support communication with students with a range of complex needs.

What you will need to do this role successfully:

• Be able to build and maintain successful relationships with students; treating them consistently with respect and consideration
• Promote and reinforce student's self-esteem, social development and independence, encouraging students to interact with others and engage in activities.
• Support students in or outside the classroom throughout the school day, in a range of subjects and activities
