New opportunity has arisen for a popular and well established Special School located in the borough of Greenwich.   Currently they are recruiting for a temp to perm British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to start in April 2019!

New and exciting opportunity has arisen for a British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant for to work in a hearing impairment unit. This post is to commence in April 2019 on a temp to perm (for the right person) basis. The school would like a Teaching Assistant who has a BSL Certificate at a minimum of Level One.   You would be supporting a Year 5  deaf pupil on a 1-2-1 basis.   You will be able to build a strong rapport with your student and want to make a difference in their learning and social development. It would be beneficial if you have worked with Primary students but not essential to start in this post.

 

We are looking for the following;

 

  • Must have a British Sigh Language (BSL) Certificate (minimum of a Level One)
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a BSL Teaching Assistant / Support Worker with BSL Experience
  • You will be able to build a strong rapport with pupils.
  • Experience working with Primary or Secondary Students with a hearing impairment
  • In date Enhanced DBS with the update service
  • Available Immediately
