Outstanding 6th Form College on the Greenwich borders is currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA), who is available to start immediately!

Popular and dedicated 6th form college with a larger than average SEN provision.  Pupils who attend have varied SEN, such as ASD/ ADHD/ Complex Needs/ CAMHS/ SEMH / Down Syndrome/ Wheelchair Users etc.  All their pupils are able to access their learning.  The learners who attend are encouraged to be the best versions of themselves and to strive for excellence!  Very strong Senior leadership and outstanding  SEN support.

Immediate long term and full time position  for an experience Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who may have also been or currently an SEN teaching Assistant.  You will be working with one student on a 1:1 basis who is a wheelchair user.  The student simply requires an LSA to assist to take them to their lesson and to assist them in their wheelchair.  This learner would not require assistance with personal care. You also maybe required to work with children within small groups also with various SEN.

The Successful Learning Support Assistant

  • Must have experience working as either a Learning Mentor/ LSA / Youth Worker/ SEN TA / HLTA or Youth Worker 
  • Must have SEN experience with children and or young people; SEMH/ ASD/ ADHD/ MLD/ Down Syndrome etc
  • You must have worked with children and young people at either primary school / secondary school or college levels
  • Must have worked with children on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups
  • You can build a strong rapport with your pupils.   
  • Must live in easily commutable distance to the Greenwich borough
  • Available to work ASAP with an in date DBS with the update service.
