Popular, innovative and creative Alternative Provision in the borough of Greenwich is recruiting for a full time & long term Teacher of English/ English SEN Teacher (permanent for the right person). This role is to commence in September 2019.

Medium sized Alternative Provision that has been rated ‘Good’ via ofsted.  This Alternative Provision is essentially in the ‘heart of the community’ with some strong external   partnerships.  The SLT there are supportive, approachable that have strong leadership and managerial expertise.  Staff at this Alternative Provision are welcoming with a great sense of family and are very down to earth.   Pupils at this provision have a wealth of SEN and for the most part they have been diagnosed with EBD, SEMH with some pupils with ADHD & ASD.  They have more than one site & the pupils range from primary to secondary age.   

New opportunity has arisen for a long term English Teacher /Teacher of English (MPS or UPS)   (+SEN points).  The client would like to recruit either an English Teacher / Teacher of English for a full time and permanent September 2019 appointment.  They would like to appoint a qualified SEN or mainstream MPS or UPS Teacher of English/ English Teacher (PGCE/ GTP/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS - Qualification).  This role would suit either an NQT or Experienced Teacher of English / English Teacher can teach language and literature (NOT suitable for an ESOL/TEFL/ EFL/ESL/CELTA etc teachers).  You will be teaching students with challenging behaviour so it is imperative that you can teach fun, creative, engaging lessons.  You will have experience with students who have either EBD/ SEMH/ ADHD/ ASD etc.  Your lesson must have been graded a minimum of a ‘Good’.  Supportive Support Staff, Middle Managers and Senior Leaders with strong training and NQT Programs.  Additionally you will have taught at Key Stages KS3 & KS4. KS5 would be beneficial but not imperative for this appointment.

  • UK Recognised Qualified SEN or Mainstream Teacher of English (PGCE/ GTP/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS )
  • Can teach English Language & Literature at Key Stage 3 & 4 Levels (NOT suitable for TESOL/ CELTA/ ESL/EAL/ EFL/TEFL /ESOL etc teachers)
  • You have taught SEN pupils with either EBD/ADHD/ ASD/SEMH / Challenging Behaviour etc
  • You have sound & excellent knowledge of  your subject and the UK  curriculum
  • Your SEN teaching experience has been with challenging behaviour  pupil ( ie SEMH, ASD, EBD,  etc)
  • NQTs & Experienced Teachers welcome to apply (MPS or UPS)
  • Can teach a good to outstanding fun, engaging & creative lesson
  • You are resilient, empathetic, dedicated Teacher of English
