Future Education is currently recruiting for an SEN School in Lewisham.  They are recruiting for a long term SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who preferably has SEN or mainstream school experience working with challenging behaviour SEMH/ SEBD/ ADHD or ASD pupils.  You must be available immediately

Vibrant and popular SEN School in Lewisham that is part of the community.  Due to expansion this school has new opportunities available.  State of the art facilities & modern building and school.  Students at this school are encouraged to achieve academically & independently. Well trained and encouraging staff with great expertise.  Pupils who attend this school are of  Secondary and college ages. 

 The Position

  • Full time & Long Term post starts ASAP
  • SEN TA vacancy
  • You are either a Youth Worker or Support Worker or already an SEN TA with child and young people experience open to working as an SEN TA are welcome to apply to this post (transferrable skills)
  • Your experience must be in either an SEN School / Mainstream School / Educational Institution
  • Working with young people and children with varying SEN on a 1:1 basis and within small groups

 Successful Applicant…

  • 6 Months (minimum) as either a Youth Worker OR Support Worker OR  SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
  • Experience working with children with either Autism / ASD/ PMLD / SLD on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.   
  • You can build a strong rapport with your pupils.   
  • You are resilient, consistent and don’t take things personally
  • Able to demonstrate on your CV that you have worked with either SEN students or Adults in a SEN or a Mainstream setting
  • Must be in close proximity to Lewisham / Surrounding Boroughs
  • Enhanced DBS with the update service
